The short version
HouseAfford is a static website. The affordability math runs in your browser. We do not run an application server that receives your income, debts, or down payment.
Calculator inputs
When you use the worksheet, numbers can be written to localStorage on your device so a reload keeps the last run. They can also appear in the page URL if you copy a link. Anyone with that link can see those figures. Clear site data in your browser to remove localStorage. We cannot remotely delete a copy on your machine.
Hosting and logs
The site may be served from Cloudflare Pages or another static host. Hosts typically log technical data such as IP address, user agent, and requested path for security and reliability. Those logs are not a loan file.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
HouseAfford is built to carry Google AdSense. When a publisher ID is configured, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads if you allow them. Google’s policy and opt-outs are described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads and adssettings.google.com.
Until a live publisher ID and ad units are installed, you will see labeled advertisement placeholders only. Placeholders do not call Google.
Fonts and third-party requests
Pages load fonts from Google Fonts. That request can expose your IP address to Google. You can block third-party fonts in the browser; layout will fall back to system serif and sans faces.
Children
The site is for adults considering a US home purchase. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

HouseAfford does not operate a ticket desk from this repository. If you deploy your own copy, replace this section with an email you monitor.
